Rheinmetall Defence chooses Kynogon as its AI solution supplier
Paris, France - May 15th, 2006 - Kynogon announces today that Rheinmetall Defence, the Defence arm of Germany's Rheinmetall Group, has licensed Kynapse to develop its new simulation applications.
Once again, for Kynogon, the evaluation process was key in Rheinmetall's decision in favour of Kynapse. In a matter of hours, with the support of one Kynogon engineer, Kynapse was integrated in Rheinmetall CGF and production chain. And the Bremen development group could then attend a stunning demo of a crowd scattering in the streets of a village. It was Rheinmetall's terrain, animations and characters, driven by Kynapse.
The Project Manager for RDE states: "Kynapse is an excellent add-on for our middleware approach. We were pleased not only with Kynogon's technology, but also with their reactivity. We met for the first time at I/ITSEC in November 2005, and we have already started to work with Kynapse. It is a very effective solution for our needs, both in terms of fast AI data production and of advanced behaviour capabilities."
Pierre Pontevia, Kynogon CEO, is delighted to count Rheinmetall as a new client. "As we saw during the evaluation process of Kynapse, Rheinmetall Defence Electronics employs state-of-the-art simulation technology in its simulators for military and civilian training applications. They were very exhaustive in testing the functions of Kynapse, and we are very proud that they chose our technology. Kynapse is in very good hands. And we foresee numbers of ambitious applications for AI within Rheinmetall."
