Large scale A.I.: Kynapse 4.0 has arrived

Paris/France, June 6, 2006 - Kynogon today released the much-anticipated Kynapse 4.0 version. Building on the strengths of earlier versions of this powerful AI middleware solution, Kynapse 4.0 boasts new capabilities that will lavishly reward those who have been waiting for this release of the software.

"As virtual worlds become larger and more complex, there is an urgent need for an AI solution that can provide sophisticated behaviors without squandering system resources or making the production process more complex", explained Pierre Pontevia, Kynogon's CTO. Kynapse 4.0 is the product of 6 years of development at Kynogon and has been extended to fit next generation hardware:

- The new version of Kynapse can manage large-scale AI requirements. With innovations such as hierarchical PathFinding and data streaming both for PathFinding and 3D perception, Kynapse 4.0 will be an invaluable tool, especially for developers working on the new platforms.

- Kynapse 4.0 can now handle multi-threaded approaches enabling the management of very large number of entities.

- The automatic data generation tool has been redesigned: it now handles very large terrains using an automatic tile mechanism. It also accepts a larger range of 3D file formats, including COLLADA and offers a new user interface.

- Developers will also more easily master the new Kynapse 4.0 thanks to new examples, and a new documentation.
